Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Control Manager to lead our team in achieving exceptional cash collection and service excellence for our clients. As a key member of The Portfolio Group, you will be responsible for managing a team of seven and ensuring efficient cash collection processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead the Credit Control team, ensuring they consistently deliver outstanding levels of service and meet targets.
  • Cash Collection: Develop and implement strategies to maximize cash collection, including direct call methods and direct debit initiatives.
  • Training and Development: Identify training requirements within the team and agree coaching schedules to ensure team members have the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
  • Client Management: Act as the initial escalation point for account queries and take responsibility for higher value/corporate clients.
  • Performance Metrics: Ensure adherence to individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of four years' experience in Credit, Collections, and Customer Service, with a proven track record of leading a team and achieving exceptional results.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to cultivate a team that consistently delivers outstanding levels of service and meets targets.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of cash collection processes, including direct call methods and direct debit initiatives.
