Job Overview:

Tribal Tech Limited is seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join their finance team. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Management: Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Debt Collection: Chase overdue payments via phone, email, and letters, resolving any payment issues or disputes effectively.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts, investigate and resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate records of payment and outstanding balances.
  • Customer Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing queries or concerns related to invoices or credit terms in a professional manner.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct credit checks for new and existing clients, assess creditworthiness, and recommend credit limits.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts, collections progress, and credit risk exposure, providing insights to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure alignment on credit policies, payment terms, and customer issues.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within the credit control function and recommend strategies to enhance cash flow and reduce debtor risk.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar credit control role.
  • Strong understanding of credit management, debt collection, and account reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in using financial software.
