About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join our team at Coventry City Council. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a pivotal role in providing coaching, mentoring, and support to both Newly Qualified Social Workers and experienced Social Workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a caseload of complex cases in children's services
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to Newly Qualified Social Workers and experienced Social Workers
  • Guide and offer professional wisdom in situations of high complexity
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality services to children, young people, and families
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW)
  • Social Work England registration
  • Experience in working with children and families in a statutory social care setting
  • Demonstrable experience in decision making on case work from Children in Need to Permanency Planning, including Court Work
