About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Futures Manufacturing. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for driving growth in our subcontract machining and metal finishing divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base and increase revenue.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Sales Targets: Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) to contribute to the company's growth and success.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including machine shop, production, and marketing, to ensure seamless communication and delivery of leads, estimates, quotes, proposals, and bids.
Requirements
  • Proven engineering background, including apprenticeship, academic, or time-served experience.
  • Proven experience in engineering, manufacturing, estimating, or business development.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining, manufacturing, and CAD/engineering drawings.
  • Strong software skills, including Microsoft Office and social media.
  • Ability to travel across the UK and occasionally to our manufacturing sites.
