Job Summary
The Bridge Group Practice is seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and will be responsible for providing a warm and welcoming experience.
Main Responsibilities
• Greet and direct patients to the appropriate area of the practice
• Manage the practice appointment system, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner
• Process personal, telephone, and e-requests for appointments
• Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the caller's request appropriately
• Signpost patients to the correct service
• Manage repeat prescriptions, ensuring they are processed accurately and efficiently
• Initiate contact with and respond to requests from patients, team members, and external agencies
• Clinically code data on Systm1
• Photocopy documentation as required
• Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
• Input data into patients' healthcare records as necessary
• Direct requests for information, SAR, insurance/solicitors letters, and DVLA forms to the administrative team
About Us
The Bridge Group Practice works within two purpose-built premises in the West and North Hull. We serve 8500+ patients and are part of the NEXUS Primary Care Network, comprising of 4 local practices.
We are a GMS practice, using Systm One as our clinical software, and are paper-light. We achieve highly in QOF and provide a range of Enhanced Services. Our inspection in 2016 was rated GOOD, and our main strengths lie in our commitment to the ideals of a traditional family practice with strong ties in our local population and good working relationships with our neighboring practices.
We have an Advanced Nurse Prescriber, a Nurse Practitioner, and two highly motivated and experienced nurses who, along with our two healthcare assistants, take care of much of our long-term conditions monitoring. The practice is fortunate in having excellent administration and reception staff at both sites.
Job Requirements
• 17 hours per week
• Mondays and Wednesdays, 8am-5pm
• Occasional Saturday mornings, when required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Basic computer skills and experience with Systm1
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
