About the Role:

The Subject Lead in Hospitality will be responsible for leading and managing the design, development, and delivery of the current and newly validated curriculum within the Hospitality degree. This role will focus on creating holistic approaches to teaching and learning within a Hospitality specialist area, ensuring that the experiences delivered will progress and retain students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver the curriculum for the Hospitality degree
  • Lead and manage the team responsible for teaching and learning within the Hospitality specialist area
  • Ensure that the experiences delivered will progress and retain students
  • Engage in research and professional practice to increase subject, practice, and pedagogic awareness
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities, such as delivery of staff development programs and other cross-College initiatives

Requirements:

  • Passion for Hospitality and a strong understanding of the industry
  • Proven teaching record of innovation and success in the classroom across all levels
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver curriculum for the Hospitality degree
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to engage in research and professional practice to increase subject, practice, and pedagogic awareness
