History Subject Lead Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and passionate History Subject Lead to join our team at Guardian Selection Limited. As a History Subject Lead, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our students and contributing to the success of our school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the history department, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality and engaging curriculum.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that foster a deep understanding of historical events and their relevance in today's world.
  • Oversee the assessment and monitoring of student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Support and mentor other history teachers, sharing best practices and promoting professional development.
  • Work closely with school leadership to develop departmental policies and strategies for academic success.
  • Organise history-related school events, trips, and enrichment activities to enhance students' learning experience.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching history, with the ability to lead and manage a subject department.
