History Subject Lead Opportunity

GSL Education - London is seeking an experienced and passionate History Subject Lead to join their team. As a key member of the education team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the history department, ensuring the consistent delivery of an engaging and rigorous curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive history curriculum, aligned with national standards and school policies.
  • Lead and manage a team of history teachers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to develop departmental policies and strategies for academic success.
  • Organize history-related school events, trips, and enrichment activities to enhance students' learning experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in teaching history, with the ability to lead and manage a subject department.
