Occupational Therapist Specialist

Are you an experienced Specialist Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group.
About the RoleThis is a newly created role that will work between two schools, Petherton Park School and Acorn School, spending one day per week in each location. As a Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to pupils with neurodiverse needs.
You will work closely with our integrated therapy team, consisting of Speech and Language Therapists and Creative Art Therapists, to deliver the highest standard of care and support to our pupils. Your expertise will be invaluable in shaping the future of our occupational therapy services and making a real impact every day.
Key Responsibilities- Take a Neurodiverse affirming and trauma-informed approach to clinical work, working within a small caseload of pupils who have neurodiverse needs.
- Assess, write indirect therapy programmes, provide advice and consultations, and deliver direct therapy.
- Work alongside the integrated therapy team to design and deliver specific training and mentoring for colleagues.
- A recognised post-graduate qualification in Occupational Therapy with an essential qualification in Sensory Integration and Processing, along with HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist with RCOT Membership.
- Great experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- The experience and ability to complete or contribute to capacity assessments.
- Good IT skills – We'll train you on how to use our systems, but it would help if you had a working understanding of using Microsoft packages like Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- A full driving licence.
