Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our clients Finance team in Tipton. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record in a medium-sized finance function.

In this pivotal role, you will help ensure the finance function supports the broader business effectively. You will be responsible for preparing and posting month-end journals, reconciling bank accounts and balance sheets accurately, and assisting with the preparation of month-end accounts and variance analysis.

The ideal candidate will have professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, and proficiency in Sage Accounting, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills. Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and practices is essential.

About the Role

This is a challenging but rewarding position that requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As a Financial Controller, you will work closely with the management team to provide financial guidance and support. You will also be responsible for managing prepayments, accruals, and subcontractor payments, collaborating on budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting, and supporting purchase and sales ledger tasks.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you are a motivated and experienced accountant looking for a new challenge, we would like to hear from you.
