About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Lead Pharmacist Inpatient Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our inpatient services in Brighton & Hove at Millview Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and expertise to our pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines in our inpatient services. You will work closely with our Specialist Pharmacists, Technicians, and Assistants to provide high-quality patient care.

We are looking for a motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the pharmacy team
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of medicines in inpatient services
  • Work closely with Specialist Pharmacists, Technicians, and Assistants to provide high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care

Requirements:

  • Degree in Pharmacy at a British School of Pharmacy or recognized equivalent
  • Clinical Pharmacy postgraduate qualification (e.g. certificate or diploma)
  • Registered Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy department, including experience in mental health service provision
  • Excellent clinical pharmacy skills, with particular emphasis on medicines used in mental health
