About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Lead Pharmacist Inpatient Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our inpatient services in Brighton & Hove at Millview Hospital.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental health conditions, working closely with Specialist Pharmacists, Technicians, and Assistants to ensure the highest standards of patient care.

This role requires an organized and flexible individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients with mental health conditions
  • Work closely with Specialist Pharmacists, Technicians, and Assistants to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services to improve patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy services and policies

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Pharmacy at a British School of Pharmacy or recognized equivalent
  • Clinical Pharmacy postgraduate qualification (e.g. certificate or diploma)
  • Registered Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Demonstrable expertise in highly relevant field of pharmacy specialism
  • Significant experience of working within a hospital pharmacy department post qualification, including experience in mental health service provision
  • Experience of working with working age mental health services
