We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our Skin Cancer Clinical Nursing team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to patients with skin cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist nursing care to patients with skin cancer
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures
  • Participate in education and training initiatives to maintain and develop skills and knowledge

Person Specification:

  • Registered Nurse on relevant part of the NMC register
  • Degree qualification or equivalent 120 credits at L6
  • Post-registration qualification within area of speciality
  • Knowledge of current issues within the acute health service

Desirable:

  • Registered on MSc Pathway - completion of HTPA Competencies
  • Act in the role of Practice Assessor or supporting the progression of learners/supporting challenges as needed
  • Counselling qualification
  • Palliative care course
  • IT training
  • Change Management, clinical practice development
