We are seeking a skilled Care and Rehabilitation Assistant to join our team at Manchester City Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and rehabilitation support to customers in their own homes or other appropriate locations.
The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a permanent, part-time position working 30 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centered care and rehabilitation support to customers in their own homes or other appropriate locations
- Coach and encourage customers to learn or re-learn daily living skills
- Work with customers to set goals and promote independence, health, and wellbeing throughout the 'make safe and stabilise' and/or reablement support period
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Level 3 Health and Social Care Diploma (QCF) or willingness to undertake and achieve
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
