Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Exercise Assistant Band 3

Hours per week; 37.5 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic person to join the multi-disciplinary cardiovascular rehabilitation team. The team delivers a multi modal approach with individualised programmes of care developed with the patients and their families.

The post would be suited to someone who is currently working within the exercise sector but wishes to move into an exercise role within the NHS or an individual who has recently completed a course in exercise. Training and support will be given.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will work within the multi-disciplinary Cardiovascular Rehabilitation team flexibly, to assist in the delivery of a high quality service to Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) patients and their families/carers.

You will assist in the delivery of comprehensive CVR programmes across Primary and Secondary care within current guidelines.

- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent exercise qualification/experience
- IT Skills ,using Word, Excel, and Outlook

**Desirable criteria**:

- Member of British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation (BACPR)

**Knowledge ,Skills,Training and Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Exercise knowledge and an interest in health and exercise
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Ability to give effectice feedback to and liaise with a range of individuals
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to respond and cope well with change within the service
- IT skills, using word ,excel and outlook
- Ability to demonstrate planning, time management ,organisational skills and the ability to complete a task
- Travel is an essential part of the role access to a vehicle is required in line with the service needs

**Desirable criteria**:

- Knowledge of working in the NHS
- Experience of working within a Cardiovascular Rehabilitation setting
