Job Overview

Austin Fraser is seeking an experienced Casual Educational Psychologist to join our team as a Psychological Services Lead for Education. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with schools, parents, carers, and families to provide high-quality educational psychology support.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and reviewing young people with Additional Needs and their subsequent provision. You will also provide consultation, advice, support, assessment, and intervention to schools and colleagues on the educational, psychological, social, emotional, and mental health needs of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the delivery of educational psychology services across various areas, including West Herts, St Albans and Dacorum, Watford, and surrounding villages.
  2. Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, ensuring that educational psychology services are delivered in accordance with agreed quality standards.
  3. Collaborate with schools and colleagues to provide support and challenge on meeting the needs of children and young people.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Have experience working with children and young people with Additional Needs.
  • Be able to apply psychology across work at systemic, decision-making, and casework levels.
  • Remain informed about contemporary professional developments and promote evidence-based knowledge across individuals, teams, and service practice.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and a supportive work environment.
