Job Overview:

We are seeking a charismatic and friendly Door Host to join our team at The Hero. This role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere and fostering a sense of community within our venue. You will be the first point of contact for guests and locals alike, responsible for recognizing our regular patrons, assisting management with outdoor upkeep, and ensuring a vibrant and safe environment. We're looking for an individual who is full of character and not afraid to interact with our guests, this person really needs to be the life and soul of the venue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming Guests: Open the door with a warm smile, greet guests as they arrive, and ensure they feel valued and welcomed.
  • Recognizing Locals: Build rapport with our regulars and locals, making personal connections to enhance their experience.
  • Outdoor Management: Assist management in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the outdoor area and seating, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for all guests.
  • Crowd Management: Collaborate with security staff to manage crowd flow and access to the pub, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
  • Creating Energy: Help to foster a lively and inviting environment by engaging with guests and promoting a sense of community within the venue.
  • Communication: Relay any guest feedback or concerns to management to ensure continuous improvement in service and atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to recognize and remember regular customers.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of crowd management practices; SIA training is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
