Senior Children's Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team in Ebbw Vale. As a Senior Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example and support the management team to run the shift
  • Mentor and support newer staff members
  • Encourage young people to participate in activities and take responsibility for their lives
  • Maintain a safe and homely environment
  • Deal with challenging behaviours when necessary
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare
  • Provide support and promote independence and well-being
  • Maintain a safe environment and ensure the safety of students
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Children's Residential Support Worker or with Young People
  • Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People
  • Experience in a healthcare or social care setting
  • Full driver's licence and ability to commute to Ebbw Vale
