About the Job

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering parcels and mail to local communities. You will start your day in the delivery office, sorting and gathering the mail needed for your route. You will then collect your allocated vehicle and hand-held computer device, which will detail your route and tracking information.

The shift lengths vary between 4-8 hours per day, and you will need to be relatively fit and healthy due to the amount of walking required. You will also need to have a full UK manual driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.

About You

We are looking for an upbeat and self-motivated individual who is happy to work alone as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be helpful and approachable, displaying a strong sense of community as they get to know the people they meet on their round.

You will need to be smartly presented and always act in a professional and courteous manner. Previous experience in a customer-facing or delivery role is ideal but not essential. You will also be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £13.37 per hour. As a Delivery Driver, you will enjoy working outdoors and will be rewarded with a competitive hourly rate.

Royal Mail delivers parcels whatever the weather, so you will need to be comfortable working in all conditions. You will also need to have a valid driving licence and meet the necessary requirements for the role.
