Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team at World Fuel Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing emergency assistance to internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and internal policies, and promoting a positive Health and Safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency assistance to customers, identifying short and long-term solutions to issues.
  • Assist the engineering and fleet team in ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Conduct regular depot audits, spot checks, and quality monitoring reviews.
  • Support contractor work approvals through auditing and quality monitoring.
  • Participate in meetings with contractors to discuss non-compliance, cost control, or standards of workmanship.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal customers.
  • Promote a positive Health and Safety culture.
  • Comply with site rules when visiting Company or contractor locations.
  • Ensure personal and team safety, as well as that of colleagues, contractors, visitors, and customers.

Travel Requirements

This role involves assisting in covering the company network nationally, requiring travel throughout the UK (mainly England and Wales) with overnights. A full UK Clean Driving Licence is essential.

Education and Experience

Essential qualifications include a relevant technical qualification such as an NVQ/ONC/HNC/HND in an engineering discipline. Desirable qualifications include registration with Weights and Measures, a CSCS or Equivalent Card, and a SPA Passport to Safety.

Technical Skills

Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required. Background or understanding of fuel tank or vehicle regulations, as well as pumping and metering systems, is desirable.
