We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food quality and service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery
- Develop and implement kitchen procedures to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute menus, ensuring consistency and quality
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize resources
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
- Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff to enhance skills and knowledge
- Conduct regular kitchen audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Overtime pay for every hour worked over contracted hours

- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality, presentation, and consistency
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety, hygiene, and inventory management
- Ability to develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
