Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Energy and Environment team in delivering large-scale impact and economic evaluations. The successful candidate will have a strong academic background in social sciences, economics, or climate sciences, and proven experience in managing complex evaluation projects in a commercial or consultancy environment.

The role involves designing and adapting project plans, managing teams, and delivering high-quality reporting outputs. The Associate Director will also contribute to business development, revenue generation, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage large-scale impact and economic evaluations, ensuring projects are delivered to budget and timescale.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, design project plans, and select and manage teams effectively.
  • Deliver accessible and concise reporting outputs, including conclusions and recommendations.
  • Contribute to business development, revenue generation, and strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Strong academic background in social sciences, economics, or climate sciences.
  • Proven experience in managing complex evaluation projects in a commercial or consultancy environment.
  • Good understanding of energy and/or environmental policy and a track record of conducting evaluations for clients commissioning this work in the UK or internationally.
  • Proven ability in business development and revenue generation.
