About the Role

The Chief Development Officer will lead the design, planning, and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy for Bryn Mawr College, with a focus on securing significant financial resources from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

This key leadership role reports directly to the President and leads the development team in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of strategic planning, team management, and major gift fundraising.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the development team in executing the college's fundraising strategy, including the annual fund, grants, major gifts, and planned giving.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement special fundraising campaigns and events.
  3. Motivate, lead, and manage the performance of the development team, fostering an environment of creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
  4. Cultivate relationships with major donors, asking for and closing gifts, and coaching others on major gift fundraising.
  5. Help plan, lead, and execute a successful comprehensive capital campaign.
