Job Description

CPP Investments is a global investment management organization that invests the funds of the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) to ensure long-term sustainability. We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Analyst to join our Sustainable Energies Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of new investment opportunities in Europe and Asia, focusing on sustainable energy projects.
  • Assist in asset management, building and leveraging the competencies of the Sustainable Energies Group team.
  • Collaborate with the Sustainable Energies Group team, investment committees, and other parts of CPP Investments.
  • Participate in global strategic initiatives and contribute to the development of the Sustainable Energies Group team.
  • Embed CPP Investments' guiding principles and the Sustainable Energies Group's core principles of innovation, collaboration, transparency, and mutual respect.
Requirements
  • Commensurate experience in investment banking or private equity, with exposure to power/energy/energy transition investments/transactions being advantageous.
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for investing in sustainable energy.
  • Strong research, financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-office matrix organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business relationship skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and initiative.
  • Additional languages are an asset.
  • Professionalism and integrity.
