Energy Transition Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Regional Energy Transitions research team as an analyst based in London. As an Energy Transition Researcher, you will be part of a team of experts who provide independent analysis and insight to decision-makers leading the future of energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake primary research and analysis on the European energy transition, producing written reports, presentations, and tools.
  • Develop and implement market-leading insights, including data sets, scenarios, and tools.
  • Research, analyze, and produce reports on energy markets and policy drivers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients from different cultures and countries.
  • Balance multiple parallel tasks, be highly organized, and have rigorous attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge or demonstrated interest in the energy industry.
  • University degree in a scientific, engineering, economics, or humanities discipline.
  • Fluent communication skills in English: writing, reading, and speaking.
  • Confidence and accuracy conducting numerical analysis and familiarity with working effectively with data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship and/or work experience in the energy, commodities, finance industries.
  • Knowledge of energy markets or decarbonization technologies and policies.
  • Experience with data projects, querying, and working with large databases.
  • Speaking/writing ability in at least one non-English language.
