The Role: Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team at HMP Bullingdon, a category B male prison. As part of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will contribute to the smooth and safe operation of this complex facility.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across various areas within the prison.
  • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople to ensure efficient completion of projects.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an electrician in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and regulations (BS7671).
  • C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) qualification, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations, or equivalent.
  • 17th or 18th Edition certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
