Vehicle Installation Electrician

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Installation Electrician to join our team at Wrightbus. As an Electrical Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and testing of chassis and body electrical control systems, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and test electrical control systems in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards.
- Comply with the company's health and safety policy and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Ensure that all work is carried out to the Wrightbus agreed quality standard, adhering to quality sign-offs and procedures.
- Install and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in contract build documentation.
- Terminate various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
- Test and commission the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
- Fault find and repair the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with allocated process time.
- Work overtime when requested by management.
- Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes, including the training of others.
Requirements:
- Time served automotive, domestic or industrial electrician.
- Demonstrate capability to work on systems up to 600V AC or DC.
- Capable of reading wiring diagrams.
- Demonstrate experience of routing and connection of various cable types.
- Demonstrate basic fault-finding techniques.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Willing to undertake or provide training as required.
- Awareness of general Health and Safety rules.
- Proven ability to be flexible, working overtime and changing shift patterns as required.
