About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a community-based setting, specifically focusing on blood transfusion services. This exciting opportunity will involve providing direct care to patients in their own homes, working closely with the consultant team and other healthcare professionals.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring seamless transitions from hospital to community settings, and contributing to the development of innovative care pathways. Your expertise in nursing practice, clinical assessment, and communication skills will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a community-based setting, focusing on blood transfusion services.
  • Work collaboratively with the consultant team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative care pathways and improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance nursing practice and stay up-to-date with best practices.

Requirements

  • Current NMC Registration as a Registered General Nurse or equivalent.
  • BSc or equivalent level of experience in a relevant field.
  • Post-registration education in a relevant area, such as transfusion medicine or community nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Nurse Prescriber qualification or willingness to work towards it.
  • Advanced physical assessment skills and the ability to perform holistic assessments.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including:

Location

This role is based at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 235 Euston Road, London NW1 2BU, with occasional travel required within the community.
