Paediatric Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and adolescents presenting with emergency care needs.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in paediatric emergency care. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for children and adolescents, working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- To demonstrate specialist emergency care expertise underpinned by theory and incorporate evidence-based practice.
- To maintain accountability and demonstrate skills in undertaking assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of children and adolescents presenting with emergency care needs without supervision.
- To take responsibility of the accurate assimilation, interpretation, and reporting of clinical data in relation to emergency care patients and take appropriate action.
- To review and modify planned interventions in response to the needs of emergency care patients acting independently where appropriate and seeking advice where required.
- To order appropriate diagnostic investigations, such as x-rays and laboratory tests, to assist in managing episodes of care.
We are looking for a Paediatric Nurse with a strong background in emergency care, who is able to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an emergency department and a strong understanding of paediatric emergency care principles.
