Main Responsibilities

The Maintenance Assistant will provide support in all maintenance programs, ensuring that all maintenance objectives are conducted in a respectful and responsible way, adhering to relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

The role involves assisting with emergency and planned maintenance repairs, coordinating repairs to buildings and property infrastructure, and supporting the maintenance and safe operation of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other facility-related systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supports and assists with emergency and planned maintenance repairs and coordinates repairs to buildings and property infrastructure.
  • Assists in the regular maintenance of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other related systems as directed.
  • Assists with landscaping and grounds maintenance.
  • Assists with the safe operation of boilers, heating, and ventilation systems.
  • Assists with maintenance and repairs of finishing, ceilings, flooring, and roofing.
  • Assists with maintenance and repairs to appliances and plant equipment.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.
  • Helps to identify areas of improvement and suggest solutions with cost analysis.
  • Reports malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components.
  • Reviews work orders to ensure proper documentation.
