About the Role:
The Sales Director - Vertical Lift is a key leadership position responsible for driving sales growth across Flexjet Europe's assigned region. Reporting directly to the President, this role plays a critical part in meeting sales objectives and expanding market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed forecasted sales numbers, leveraging market knowledge and industry trends to drive business growth.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to determine product and service marketability, identifying areas of opportunity and developing targeted solutions to meet customer needs.
- Sales Lead Generation and Follow-up: Identify, develop, and nurture sales leads, ensuring timely follow-up and effective communication with customers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Provide guidance, support, and coaching to sales teams, fostering a culture of excellence and driving results-oriented performance.
- Market Trend Monitoring and Compliance: Stay abreast of industry trends, technical developments, and government regulations, ensuring compliance and staying ahead of the competition.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, sales teams, and senior management, leveraging strong communication and interpersonal skills to drive business growth.
- Business Planning and Reporting: Participate in sales forecasting and planning, developing and maintaining long- and short-range sales plans, and ensuring timely submission of expense reports and T&E budgets.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and/or extensive experience in field sales, sales support, or executive experience, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Skills and Qualifications: Highly proficient in business writing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate independently and respond to situations with creativity and independent thought.
- Travel and Work Requirements: London Mayfair and Farnborough based, with occasional travel to the United States and continental Europe required to grow market share and brand awareness.
