Microelectronics Design Methodology Engineer Industrial Placement

We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Microelectronics Design Methodology Engineer on an industrial placement. This exciting opportunity will provide you with the chance to work on a wide range of projects, from novel device modelling to complex analogue circuits, and reprogrammable FPGA based systems.

About the Role:

  • Support projects across Europe, working on a variety of problems and technologies.
  • Collaborate with our team of specialist design methodology engineers to develop and enhance microelectronics research.
  • Contribute to the development of new design tools and methodologies for chip design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on a range of projects, from device modelling to complex analogue circuits.
  • Develop and enhance microelectronics research through collaboration with our team.
  • Contribute to the development of new design tools and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled on an undergraduate degree course in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
  • Required or have requested to take an industrial placement year.
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the placement.
  • Able to commence employment in summer 2025.
  • Have a minimum of three A-levels at grade C or above, one of which must be mathematics, or alternative qualifications of an equivalent level.
  • Excellent understanding of fundamental principles of basic electronic circuits.
  • Enjoy solving challenging electronic engineering problems and have a genuine interest in discovering more about silicon chips and microelectronics design tools.
  • Diligent, reliable, and hardworking with good social skills and the ability to identify and communicate relevant technical information in English.
