Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Health and Social Care Assessor to join our team in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for driving standards within the health and social care sector through education and experience in the delivery of apprenticeships and diplomas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with learners and employers regularly to ensure commitment to programmes.
  • Deliver effective teaching and learning sessions in line with the curriculum approach to develop knowledge, skills and behaviours.
  • Ensure timely submission and assessment of learner evidence.
  • Carry out observations of learner practice in the workplace.
  • Support learners to achieve their maths and English Functional Skills.
  • Support learners to successfully pass End Point Assessment.
  • Promote and safeguard learner health and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' extensive and relevant vocational experience in the adult/elderly health & social care sector, including Dementia and Learning Disabilities.
  • A Health and social care qualification at Level 3 or Level 5.
  • Experience of working within work-based learning/educational settings and holding an Assessor qualification.
  • An ideal candidate will hold a teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
  • Good English and maths skills, preferably to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in high-demand environments, meeting targets and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously, with excellent time management, organisation and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

Salary Range:£40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
