About the Role:

As a Special Education Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). Your responsibilities will include delivering personalized care and assistance, ensuring their physical, emotional, and educational needs are met.

  • Delivering tailored support to students with PMLD, focusing on their unique abilities and requirements.
  • Collaborating with the classroom teacher to plan and execute engaging activities that cater to each student's distinct needs.
  • Providing personal care assistance, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Tracking and recording student progress, working closely with the SENCO and classroom team to celebrate achievements and adjust support plans as needed.
  • Partnering with a range of professionals, such as therapists and medical staff, to ensure comprehensive care for each student.

The ideal candidate will possess a patient, empathetic, and supportive approach, with strong communication skills. They should be able to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families, demonstrating excellent organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to various student needs.

Preferred qualifications include CACHE Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, although these are not essential. We encourage continuous learning and professional development to enhance your skills.

This is a temporary position, with the option to make it permanent at a later date. You will receive £85-£110 per hour, which includes 12.07% statutory holiday pay. We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers.
