About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Adult Nurse to join our team as a Deputy Manager at our Specialist Mental Health Care Home in Derby.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the overall management of the service
  • Ensure the highest quality of service is provided for our Service Users through person-centred care plans
  • Lead and support a diverse team of staff to achieve and exceed their full potential
  • Ensure all staff under your supervision have the right leadership, organisation, support, training, and preparation to carry out their work effectively
  • Contribute to providing a safe, well-structured environment in which Service Users are treated respectfully, decently, and holistically
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate appropriate nursing interventions for Service Users
  • Participate in clinical team meetings and other multi-disciplinary team meetings
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RGN/RMN)
  • Clear NMC PIN without restriction
  • Eligible to live and work in the UK (British Passport or Biometric Card)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a mental health environment (desirable)
  • QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Demonstrable values and commitment to leading and supporting a diverse team of staff
  • Knowledge of health and safety matters in relation to hospital care services and risk management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain a safe, harmonious environment for staff and residents
