About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Epilepsy Specialist Clinical Lead to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with epilepsy.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience working autonomously in a specialty at an advanced level, with evidence of multi-agency/disciplinary working. A range of training and experience equivalent to a degree level is essential, preferably in nursing/neurology/epilepsy.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000-£80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including annual leave, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.

As an Epilepsy Specialist Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with cross-specialty multi-professional healthcare teams to achieve a coordinated specialist service for patients with epilepsy.
  • Assessing adult patients with new seizures through to those with ongoing seizures.
  • Developing and implementing nurse-led support, advice, review, and drug monitoring services to enhance clinical review of patients and meet clinical governance agenda.

You will also be expected to develop and work within evidence-based specialist pathways of care, guidelines, protocols, and patient group directions to support patient and their families. The successful candidate will be able to communicate sensitive and distressing information to patients and families, and demonstrate an understanding of the National agenda for Neurology and Epilepsy.
