Epilepsy Specialist Clinical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Epilepsy Specialist Clinical Lead to join our team at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, part of UCLH NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is a full-time permanent position, requiring a 37.5-hour commitment per week. The role involves working closely with the epilepsy consultants and multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support to patients with epilepsy.
Main Responsibilities- Running nurse-led outpatient clinics, including general epilepsy and VNS, and providing direct advice and liaison with GPs and other allied health professionals.
- Providing education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on epilepsy within the trust.
- Assisting in clinical trials, audits, and research into epilepsy and future management, to develop and improve services for people with epilepsy.
The successful candidate will have a relevant nursing qualification, such as a Master's degree or equivalent, and experience in a similar specialty at Band 6 or above. They will also have up-to-date knowledge and expertise in epilepsy, as well as experience in delivering evidence-based practice.
Person Specification- Registered Nurse
- Masters level qualification or working towards
- Teaching in the Clinical Setting Course or equivalent
- Post Registration Neuro Science Nursing course or equivalent
- Completion of a recognised Non-Medical Prescriber Course
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £46,000-£56,000 per annum, depending on experience. As a member of staff at UCLH NHS Foundation Trust, you will also be entitled to a range of benefits, including annual leave, pension scheme, and access to training and development opportunities.
