About the Role

We're seeking a talented Pastry Chef to join our team at Stowe School, where you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in a stunning environment. As a key member of our bakery team, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality pastries and desserts for students, staff, and special events.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the production of pastries and desserts for service and functions, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  2. Manage and train kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  3. Complete inventories and food requisitions to ensure accurate ordering and minimize waste.
  4. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment, adhering to department standards and food safety protocols.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a contract-catering or high-profile operation, with a proven track record of success in leading a team.
  • Excellent pastry-making skills, with knowledge of food safety protocols and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
