Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide experienced 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning, delivering, and adapting educational activities for pupils with complex needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies effectively and confidently handle challenging behaviour.
  • Support students' emotional, social, and academic progress through positive reinforcement and customised support plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN support strategies, particularly with children on the autism spectrum or with behavioural needs.
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN-focused certifications) are highly desirable.
