Job Overview:

Carrington West is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Site Engineer to join their team on a significant highways infrastructure project in Penrith. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a recent civil engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the successful delivery of a major transport project.

  1. Site Supervision: Assist in supervising construction activities and ensuring compliance with project specifications, designs, and standards.
  2. Setting Out: Carry out site surveys and use various surveying equipment to set out and mark construction works in line with technical drawings.
  3. Quality Assurance: Monitor quality standards on-site, ensuring that all works are completed in accordance with relevant specifications and regulations.
  4. Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, identifying potential delays or issues that may affect delivery.
  5. Technical Support: Assist the project management team with technical queries, troubleshooting, and design changes, and liaise with design teams when necessary.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, site records, and quality checklists.
  7. Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with subcontractors, clients, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution and clear communication.
Requirements:
  1. A full UK driving licence.
  2. Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (recent graduates encouraged to apply).
