MI Reporting Analyst

Are you passionate about data analysis and eager to make a meaningful impact in the travel industry? We're seeking a skilled MI Reporting Analyst to join our Finance Team at Travel Trade Recruitment.

About the Role:

We're looking for a talented individual to optimize our current suite of MI reports, bringing data from various sources into SSRS and Power BI. As an MI Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in refining SQL jobs to maximize performance and availability of data for reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement reports within SSRS from SQL data sources.
  2. Expand the current set of Power BI dashboards and encourage adoption of self-serve reporting across all business areas.
  3. Refine SQL jobs to maximize performance and availability of data for reporting.
  4. Ensure data from numerous systems is available for reporting within the SQL data warehouse.
  5. Provide data and define processes within Finance for reconciling payments and receipts.
  6. Analyze user behavior, conversion funnels, and other relevant data to identify areas for improvement.
  7. Help drive impact to website conversion by informing decision-making based on data analysis to target optimizations and improvements to the customer journey.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Reporting Analyst, preferably in an online travel setting.
  2. Proficient in SQL, SSRS, and Power BI.
  3. Knowledge of Google Analytics, having utilized the tool to understand the customer website journey and combining with other data to extract actionable insights.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  5. Advanced knowledge of Excel with the ability to summarize and present complex data in an easy-to-understand format.
  6. Enthusiastic about using new technologies and tools to interpret data.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
