Assistant Store Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Real Canadian Superstore Windsor. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading a team of employees, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Service: Provide efficient and courteous customer service, resolving customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  2. Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills by managing employees, planning and coordinating store operations, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  3. Merchandising: Coordinate and communicate with company buyers to ensure accurate inventory levels and effective merchandising efforts.
  4. Sales and Service: Promote Shoppers Home Health Care sales of equipment and services through personalized advice and consultation to individuals, groups, and institutions.
  5. Inventory Management: Manage and maintain materials and stocked product inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing waste.
  6. Event Planning: Plan and implement successful events to drive sales and customer engagement.
  7. Staffing and Scheduling: Achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, and scheduling employees efficiently to improve productivity and profitability.
  8. Training and Development: Continuously train staff to meet company standards, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  9. Security and Safety: Develop and implement security and safety programs to protect company assets and employees, and ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  10. Succession Planning: Pursue succession planning to ensure that employees are developed to fill each needed role, and that the store is prepared for future leadership opportunities.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent communication and presentation skills to instruct individuals and groups on the use, maintenance, and servicing of equipment.
  2. Ability to develop and maintain client contacts, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Compliance with health and safety regulations, and a commitment to achieving meaningful results.
  4. Unwavering commitment to our values, and understanding of the organization's mission and strategies.
  5. Acts in accordance with policies and procedures, and is detail-oriented with effective verbal and written skills.
  6. Ability to work independently, and a commitment to promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.
