Assistant Store Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Real Canadian Superstore Windsor. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading a team of employees, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Service: Provide efficient and courteous customer service, resolving customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  2. Leadership: Demonstrate leadership skills by managing employees, planning and coordinating store operations, and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
  3. Merchandising and Sales: Coordinate with company buyers to purchase inventory, supervise merchandising efforts, and promote sales of equipment and services.
  4. Inventory Management: Manage and maintain materials and stocked product inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing losses.
  5. Employee Development: Encourage employee ownership and career development, providing regular feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  6. Store Operations: Plan and implement events, achieve staffing objectives, and schedule employees efficiently to improve productivity and profitability.
  7. Security and Safety: Develop and implement security and safety programs to protect company assets and employees.
  8. Succession Planning: Pursue succession planning to ensure that employees are developed to fill needed roles.
Requirements:
  1. Excellent communication and presentation skills to instruct individuals and groups on equipment use and maintenance.
  2. Ability to develop and maintain client contacts and work in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Compliance with health and safety regulations and commitment to achieving meaningful results.
  4. Unwavering commitment to our values and understanding of the organization's mission and strategies.
  5. Acts in accordance with policies and procedures and demonstrates detail-oriented skills.
  6. Effective verbal and written skills and ability to work independently.
