Sales and Business Growth Manager

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive commercial success in our team, supporting one of Europe's leading suppliers to the food and beverage manufacturing, foodservice, and retail sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for food and strong commercial acumen to leverage their skills in sales and business development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have experience promoting products to existing customers, developing new customer contacts, and pursuing new business opportunities. They will also possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, enabling them to build strong relationships with customer NPD/Technical departments & Purchasing teams, driving new sales.
Main Responsibilities:
- To promote our range of products to existing customers, identifying opportunities to increase sales and market share.
- To develop new customer contacts and pursue new business opportunities, utilizing industry knowledge and commercial acumen to drive revenue growth.
- To build relationships with customer NPD/Technical departments & Purchasing teams, driving new sales and improving customer satisfaction.
- To establish relationships with key Principals and gain in-depth product knowledge of all major suppliers and their capabilities.
- To collaborate with other Divisions within the Group and explore supply and sales opportunities where possible.
Key Accountabilities:
- To conduct regular visits to UK-based customers, utilizing video conferencing when face-to-face meetings are not feasible.
- To visit UK and non-UK based suppliers as required.
- To facilitate effective communication between suppliers and customers, ensuring seamless delivery of products and services.
- To stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, legislation, import regulations, health and safety guidelines, and related topics.
- To be fully aware of the technicalities and challenges associated with importing goods from outside the UK.
- To assist in arranging samples, taking them to customers, NPD/buying departments, and issuing, making, and amending supply and purchase contracts.
- To handle and resolve customer complaints efficiently.
- To chase progress on samples sent to customers and gather feedback for suppliers.
- To attend Group Sales Meetings and contribute to the development of group sales opportunities.
- To adhere to company BRC procedures.
Benefits:
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + Discretionary Bonus + 25 Days Annual Leave (Plus Bank Holidays)
