Job Overview

This is a hands-on role that plays a crucial part in supporting the operational management teams to ensure staff are developed, retained and satisfied. As an HR Adviser at Templewood Recruitment, you will be responsible for making decisions relating to staffing issues, including development, retention, disciplinary, grievance, attendance and performance concerns.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support operational management teams to ensure staff are developed and retained.
  • Be the key decision-maker in staffing issues and work with operational management teams to manage staff issues.
  • Support operations management teams to deal with performance concerns using appropriate company policies and procedures.
  • Build effective working relationships with line managers and support their upskilling in proactively managing staff issues.
  • Identify initial performance concerns and high-performing staff through regular staff supervisions and support the management team with early interventions.
  • Ensure operational management teams are aware of disciplinary and grievance procedures and support them appropriately to resolve issues.
  • Liaise with management to actively manage staff attendance, leave and performance.
  • Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management teams to improve staff retention.
  • Work closely with operations management teams to ensure staff supervisions and performance appraisals are conducted effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years' experience in an HR advisory role.
  • CIPD level 5 qualified.
  • Strong English communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Experience of working with and advising line managers.
  • First-class IT and communication skills, including Excel.
