We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Receptionist to join our team at Abbot Care Home in Harlow, Essex. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience. Your role will involve managing incoming and outgoing post, answering telephone calls, and maintaining the reception area in a neat and tidy condition.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Home Manager and Administrator to ensure the home is stocked with necessary stationery. You will also be responsible for recording and reporting on daily and weekly updates, as advised by the Home Manager. Additionally, you will promote the home, conduct show arounds, and support with recruitment of new team members.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, good IT skills, and a positive can-do approach. Previous experience in a customer-facing or reception role is essential.   • Salary: £12.00 per hour
  • 0 hour contract
  • Pick up shifts as and when available to cover annual leave/sickness/vacancies etc

About the role:

  • As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the care home.
  • Ensure all visitors sign in and out.
  • Answer all telephone calls and ensure that messages are delivered in a timely manner or calls are transferred to the relevant person.
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing post.
  • Ensure the reception area is always kept neat and tidy.
  • Work closely with the Home Manager and Administrator to ensure the home is stocked with stationery required.
  • Recording and reporting on the homes daily and weekly updates as advised by the Home Manager.
  • The role also includes promoting the home, conducting show arounds, and supporting the with any recruitment of new team members.
