Excelcare Holdings is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Abbot Care Home in Harlow, Essex.

About the Role:

  • We offer a competitive salary of £13.15 per hour (£26,984.80 per annum) based on a 40-hour week, plus benefits

As a Caregiver Assistant, you will provide physical, emotional, and social support to our residents, promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect. Your duties will include assisting with mealtimes, personal care, and documentation, as well as engaging residents in meaningful activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with daily living tasks, including personal care and meal preparation
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Completing necessary documentation, such as daily records and care plans
  • Participating in activities and events to promote resident engagement and well-being

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a care environment, preferably in a care home or as a home care worker
  • A caring and kind approach, with a desire to work with older people
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
