Group and Events Sales Coordinator

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for implementing the Group & Events Sales strategy, preparing essential documents, and ensuring all details are communicated efficiently to all relevant departments. You will work closely with the operations team to deliver exceptional service, coordinate event activities, and provide innovative solutions to meet client needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a full understanding of the Group & Events Sales strategy and ensure its implementation.
- Prepare booking events orders (BEOs), floor plans, menus, signage, and other relevant paperwork to effectively communicate guests' needs to internal and external sources.
- Ensure all BEOs are completed on time and issued to all relevant departments, and that any last-minute changes are regularly passed on to maximize efficiency and standards.
- Work alongside the operations team to deliver successful service.
- Understand the requirements of clients and come up with innovative ideas for events.
- Research suppliers and contractors and negotiate favorable deals as needed; liaise with external suppliers.
- Coordinate activities on the day of an event and implement backup plans when necessary.
- Perform post-event evaluation and document findings.
- Organize and host hotel site visits/client entertainment for current and prospective accounts with identified potential.
- Build strong relationships with clients and proactively seek repeat business and new contacts within the companies. Assist the proactive team to rebook all business.
Qualifications:

- Events Planner experience is an asset.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
