The University of Cambridge is pleased to invite applications for a Research Scientist position in the field of Evolutionary Genomics. This exciting new role will be based within the School of Biological Sciences, where you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of researchers and academics.
About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional researcher to join our team as a Research Scientist of Evolutionary Genomics. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in studying the complexities of genome and/or species relationships, and will be able to build strategic strength across the Functional and Evolutionary Genomics Theme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality research in the field of evolutionary genomics
- Collaborate with colleagues to build strategic strength across the Functional and Evolutionary Genomics Theme
- Develop and implement novel sequencing technology and machine learning approaches to drive advances in evolutionary networks
Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant field (e.g., evolutionary biology, genomics, bioinformatics)
- Strong track record of research in evolutionary genomics or related field
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
