Job Overview:
This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and on-demand maintenance across various site locations. You will serve as the primary contact for all maintenance-related issues within your designated areas. There may be instances where you will need to request specialized assistance following an initial assessment.

The main objective of this position is to perform technical repairs and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). You will ensure that all technical and compliance documentation is meticulously completed and consistently updated.

All tasks will be carried out to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, adhering to all Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within established timelines and ensure all necessary documentation is accurately completed.
  • Respond swiftly and positively to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and executing repairs as needed.
  • Prioritize maintenance and repair tasks to meet agreed timelines and response expectations.
  • Provide reactive and scheduled maintenance for fire alarm systems.
  • Conduct tests and repairs for emergency lighting systems.
  • Adhere to the purchase order process.
  • Identify irreparable faults in equipment and machinery, promptly informing the Line Manager with recommendations for suitable replacements.
  • Ensure compliance documentation is consistently updated and accurate.
  • Inform the onsite manager of any repair and maintenance issues that may disrupt site operations.
  • Conduct surveys and compile reports as required by management.
  • Perform minor modifications and installations within your technical expertise, in line with current specifications.
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned by management.
  • Attend training sessions as necessary to keep personal skills aligned with technical advancements.
  • Adhere to the company's Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Represent the company professionally and foster positive working relationships with both City and customer personnel.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with company and customer staff to ensure established quality standards are maintained.
  • Comply with any other reasonable requests or instructions from management.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum education of GCSE / Standard Grade level; ideally NVQ Level 3/City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
  • City and Guilds 17th Edition or 18th Edition (new).
  • Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems and their applications.
  • Proficiency in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of electrical and mechanical equipment, such as commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
  • Commitment to quality in repairs and maintenance.
  • Efficiency and speed in task execution.
  • Responsiveness to service requests within agreed timeframes.
  • Successful completion of the PPM schedule within set deadlines.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety policies.
  • Strong relationships and feedback from clients and colleagues.
